This apartment, part of a new development on the site of the old sorting office in Islington was a perfect city pied-a-terre for our clients whose main home is out of London. Our brief was to create a calm, bright comfortable space for them to relax into when in town.
In the sitting room and dining area we used a palette of warm neutrals enlivened with deep burgundy and forest green accents to add depth without overpowering the space. The bedroom’s gentle scheme of soft blue and green with warm oak furniture adorned with brass detail and statement lamps provides a serene retreat for rest and sleep.
Our custom designed furniture, such as the small chest for our client’s beloved glass sculpture to sit upon, the minimal dresser in the dining area, the glossy console table in the hall and the oak furniture in the bedroom, incorporates some unique character and interest into this warm, peaceful city oasis.
